The prestigious Oxford Farming Conference (OFC) is looking for three new people to join the board and support the future development of one of the UK’s most renowned agricultural events as it approaches its 90th anniversary.
Launched in 1936, OFC is known for shaping the future direction of UK agriculture and is renowned for its high calibre speakers, international perspectives, broad thinking, exceptional networking and significant political and societal announcements.
The charity is also one of only a few non-university events allowed to use prestigious venues such as Christchurch College and the Oxford Union Debating Chamber for its annual January conference.
The 2026 event, from 7 to 9 January, which will be themed “Growing Resilience” and will celebrate the 90th anniversary of OFC. It will be led by chairman Dr Jude McCann, CEO of the Farming Community Network, who said the organisation “offers a unique chance to build your skills and experiences whilst also giving back to a charity that is dedicated to supporting the future of agriculture”.
He went on: “As we look forward to the next 90 years of OFC, we seek to appoint three new directors who will join our board for a three-year term, collaborating and developing new themes, sessions and speakers for the forthcoming conferences.”
