A significant part of the land is arable cropping with a modern purpose built grain store with capacity for 1500 tonnes. This is one of the largest land parcels to become available in the Weald for several years and is available as a whole, or in two lots.
More than 65% of the land is classified as grade two and there is an abstraction licence from the rivers Beult and Lesser Tiese which border the farm.
About 275 acres are cropped with winter wheat, oil seed rape and cover crops this year and there are about 100 acres of pasture with the balance of woodland and cover crops under a five year higher tier countryside stewardship scheme agreement
The on floor 700 tonne Scorpion grain store was built in 2013 and this adjoins another on floor grain store next door with grain dryer, pre cleaner and indoor and outdoor bins.
Richard Thomas, director at BTF Partnership, said: “This is the sale of a substantial parcel of mainly high quality farmland in the Weald which has been extremely well managed over the last 65 years by the same family.”
