Sharp rise in technology used by farmers
UK farmers are leading the forefront of using digital information technology to help every day decisions. Results of a new survey by Syngenta highlighted 64% of the farming community in the UK now have a smartphone with internet connection, compared to an average of 53% across the EU.

Sugar beet under pressure from disease risk
East Anglian sugar beet crops have had an outstanding growing season, with real potential for high yields if crops can be kept clean and green through the autumn.
However, Simon Roberts from Syngenta, reported trials at the company’s Innovation Centre near Rougham, Suffolk, have shown untreated plots are now severely affected by Rust and Ramularia - highlighting the current disease pressures.
