Due to the fall of days between June and July in 2020, it has been necessary for the Society to change the dates of the Show to avoid clashing with similar events in the national agricultural events calendar.

The Kent County Show is a showcase event for farming, countryside, and rural life in Kent. With showjumping, livestock and equine showing, flower shows, vintage vehicles, food halls, woodland area and live entertainment, the Show is a celebration of the best of the county and will be taking place on 10, 11, 12 July 2020.

Lucy Hegarty, show manager, said: “After reviewing agricultural show dates across the country, we have made the decision to hold the Kent County Show a week later than previously announced. It is important for us to work with other events like ours to make sure we not only support the farming community in Kent, but nationwide too. Due to the way the days fall in 2020, we have found it necessary to move the Show to avoid clashing with other shows which would impact all involved.”

The network of agricultural shows and societies across the country all work to support their local farming and rural communities. It is therefore important to the Kent County Agricultural Society to work with these other shows to best support farmers in Kent and beyond.

The new Kent County Show dates for 2020 are 10, 11, 12 July.
