The Laughton & District Agricultural Society’s 85th Ploughing Match will be held at Mays Farm, Selmeston, Polegate BN26 6TS. By kind permission of Tim & Victoria Burrow
Fingers crossed for another glorious Autumn day as we welcome everybody to Mays Farm, Selmeston for our 85th annual Ploughing Match.

Once again, a day packed with ploughing competitions from classic ploughing, vintage trailing and hydraulic ploughs, reversible, conventional and horse drawn single furrow.

As always, supported by our popular Family Section where we encourage all to take part in the Art, Craft and Culinary skills classes.

The Education Section will again play host to a local primary school, this year East Hoathly and Chiddingly, whose pupils will experience ‘hands on’ countryside learning skills, providing a unique opportunity and insight into the World of Agriculture.

Trade stands and demonstrations from many local businesses will be attending with a good variation of products and services on display.

We finish the day with our traditional Ploughing Match dinner at Glyndebourne, with this year’s Guest Speaker, NFU President, Meurig Raymond.
