After the competition a steak lunch was enjoyed by all in celebration of British Beef Week, a raffle was held and prizes were presented. Simon Ayshford, who organised the event, said: “We were blessed with great weather and overall the event raised more than £3,000 to be split between the two charities.
“The shoot was enjoyed enormously by all those who took part and many thanks are due to all the staff at West Kent Shooting School for helping the event to run smoothly.”
The organisers would like to thank all the companies and individuals who kindly sponsored the event and provided trophies and prizes. These included Chavereys, Thomson Snell & Passmore LLP, AMC, Biddenden Vineyards, Fgs Agri and Crossfit Kent and Sussex.
By popular demand it is hoped to hold a similar event in 2016. The winners were: Ladies, first, Sarah Husk; and gentlemen, first, Lenny Croxon, who was also best gun of the day.
