This year’s Blossom walk arranged by the East Kent Fruit Society was held at Goldstone Farm, owned by the Chandler & Dunn family.
Cameo – fit for the future
Cameo growers are feeling pretty good; there is confidence in the new clones – Cauflight and Caured, both of which are performing well.
Fund raising shoot
On 24 April at West Kent Shooting School, 50 clay pigeon shooters gathered for a 70 bird shoot to raise funds for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution and MacMillan Nurses.
More women will come into farming
Women in farming was the topic of the day under discussion at this year’s Agri-Expo, where a lunchtime seminar was hosted jointly by BTF Partnership and South East Farmer.
