Agri-Expo (SE) has become one of, if not the largest, farmer owned agricultural business shows in the UK and once again, in 2018 we will be welcoming more new exhibitors to the fastest growing land-based industry show in the South East of England, writes Karen Wheeler, director of Pitchfork Events Ltd and group manager of The RAMSAK Group.

Agri-Expo showcases the very best machinery, supplies and services available to farmers, land-owners, amenity and landscape specialists at the Kent Showground located just off the M20/M2 in Kent.

Agri-Expo is set to break previous record numbers of exhibitors who have joined the show to take advantage if its growth and recognise it as one of the must attend business shows in the agricultural event diary.

As well as giving exhibitors an opportunity to promote their businesses, Agri-Expo is keen to promote education, training, business development, diversification opportunities and collaborative projects.

The organisers work to support education and training as well as highlighting other industry developments and announcements as and when they arise. We very much hope that Agri-Expo gives our visitors the opportunity to meet old and new friends as well as the suppliers of machinery, inputs, advice and support to help farming enterprises in the years of change ahead.

With this in mind, our seminars this year will focus on post-Brexit farming, with a breakfast meeting on grain marketing at 8.30am hosted by Fen Grain and our headline seminar at midday, which brings together a wealth of expertise to guide you through the recent announcement made by Michael Gove on his plans for a new greener subsidy recipient plan for the future. Both seminars will be held in the Astor Pavilion and are free to attend.

South East Farmer magazine will once again be sponsoring the trade stand prizes awarded on the day to a variety of categories.

The RAMSAK Group will again be selling tickets to the Farmers’ Ball and Farming Awards. This annual event, hosted by Pitchfork Events, will be held this year on 1 December 2018.

On behalf of the whole team involved in Agri-Expo, we wish all our visitors an enjoyable and informative day. Please remember this is your show, so if there is something you would like to see then do come and speak to the organisers on the RAMSAK Group stand in the Maidstone Exhibition Hall.
