With almost 400 classes for dairy and beef cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, horses and donkeys and a prize fund of over £30,000 the Show has a reputation for high quality livestock and equine competition.
The Show is a fantastic family day out with something for everyone. Grand arena entertainment includes the Bolddog Ling stunt motorbike team, a heavy horse musical ride and Grand Prix showjumping. The Show really does bring the countryside to the town with sheep dog trials, duck racing, fishing, gun dogs, falconry, bees and honey and a real milking parlour. There is shopping galore, food and drink and the ever popular Food Theatre, starring celebrity chef Brian Turner.
